I’m making a Big Barda cosplay (from the DC comics) and most of the arm/leg/midriff area is covered in blue scaled material, whether it’s got depth or is just a print differs based on the artist. I want to give it some kind of detailed texturing like making foam scale mail, or perhaps quilting a scale pattern? although I still feel like that might feel a bit flat for my tastes. However it covers high movement areas (elbows/knees/waist) do you have any ideas of flexible texturing to give it depth

I want to cosplay jareth from labyrinth (his outfit from the ballroom scene) and I found a fabric that is the perfect color and texture for his jacket, the only problem is that it has 4 way stretch. Is there a way I could make this work? Could I line it with a sturdy non-stretch fabric so it doesn’t stretch? Or would the outer layer eventually stretch out of shape?

Hi! I’m trying to make Shion (from That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime) and I’m having trouble with the horn. It’s pretty large and I’m not exactly sure what materials to make it out of, and also how to attach it to my head. I’ve seen some sellers use clips, however I want to make it more realistic than that. I’m also having trouble with her green shirt under her blazer. It doesn’t cover any of her chest so I’m not sure how that would work. Thanks a bunch in advance!

So I’m cosplaying hawks from mha and he has two three foot long feather swords. I made a pattern for how I want it to look and I have it cut out on 1/4 inch eva foam, but they’re floppy and I need them to hold their shape more. I want to put something rigid down the feather shaft but I don’t know what. I need it to be thick so I can hold it comfortably and be smooth and shiny. I was thinking 3D printing but I have never done that before. Any ideas on how to get that effect?
